Robin Lewis is a brilliant college student who did a truly stupid thing. Trying to escape the consequences of a forbidden romance, she enrolls at prestigious Manderson University, and decides that the only way to avoid making the same mistake twice is to have no social life at all. All good and fine, until she literally falls into Hawk Stephens' life one late night at the office.
Hawk is more than just a pretty face and a brilliant mind. He's also the night janitor. Robin wants to resist the attraction, but it's hard to ignore the way he seems so perfect for her. But when she finds out Hawk is so much more than he seems, embroiled by the fallout of his own regretful decisions, she questions if two such broken people can ever add up to a whole.

Compliments

Robin has tranfer to a different university running away from her mistakes. All she wants is to make a path for herself in such a male-dominated world. Looking for justice, Hawk takes the night janitor’s job as a means to an end. They each want different things, but they may discover that addition is their favorite operation after all.

Ms. Cicero has created an interesting story with Compliments. She has taken the world of mathmatics and have added a romance spiced with intrigue into it. The concept of the plot is fresh and has a few twists along the way to make the perfect intensity balance for the read. The story is easy to follow and kept me guessing along the way. .

I really enjoy the characters until Robin decides to have her TSTL moment. It was just a passing moment, but it did irk me that she could be so naïve, with her past and all. Overall, the characters were easy to understand and relate.

This is a new adult romance bordering on the sweet side, on which you can feel the romance vibe, but the heat is not intense. The scenes are metaphorically described.

I really like the world built by the author and the twists that she has added were a pleasant surprise. My only problem with the book was the female character was too naïve at a times to be really believable.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a sweet romance with a good plot behind.

Like the mathematical topics each of us are consumed with, we are compliments. What one gives, the other receives in reciprocal, always adding up to a perfect, encompassing whole. Together, we are complete.

Title: Caged Wolf
Series: The Tarot Witches #1
Author: S.M. Reine
Genre: Urban Fantasy, erotic romance, series, mix-pnr
Heat: 3 stars
Source: Arc provided by NetGalley in exchange of an honest review

The biker gangs passing through Lobo Norte don’t scare Ofelia anymore. All those men are the same: scarred, homeless, and broken…just like Ofelia. They’ve become a blur of forgettable faces watching her strip. She takes off her clothes, takes their money, and wipes them from her memory instantly. But Trouble is different. A biker with a wolf tattoo and tortured eyes, he sees beyond Ofelia’s tough disguise to a more fragile woman within. She’s drawn to him like she’s never been drawn to a man before—at least, not since she survived hideous torture at the hands of her ex-boyfriend that left her scarred physically and emotionally. She can’t forget Trouble. And she definitely can’t push him away. There’s magic between them that neither understands. But maybe if Ofelia and Trouble can find the truth, they can release each other from the chains that bind them to Lobo Norte, to the Fang Brothers biker gang, and to the dark secrets in their pasts…
Ofelia lives in the small town of Lobo Norte, a place that only dejects, broken people  go. She is a bartender/stripper running away from danger, keeping secrets that are coming for her.Trouble/Cooper is a biker that comes to Lobo Norte for the ring fights. Trying to cope with a new life, he is not seeking for trouble, but it always finds him.Together they look for freedom while searching for answers.
The author has crafted an interesting book with a pretty original concept for a plot. Sadly, the world built is confusing with several blanks needing to be filled. Even though the story flow was not easy to follow, the story kept me guessing and I’ve ended wanting more. For all that was missing the book was a fast-paced read for me.
I have liked both main characters and I’ve also enjoyed some secondary characters as well. I wished I had learn more about them, and also about the setting of the book. I did relate and connect with them, I just quite didn’t understand it all.
This book has some hot scenes and a very interesting approach to sex between human and shifters. There is a scene between human and a shifter in animal form that may not be to everyone’s liking. There is also some bondage going on, which helps heats up some of the scenes.
I really like the different approach taking by the author of a shifter’s book, I just wish it hadn’t  so many things left unsaid. Don’t get me wrong, it has a great ending, not much of a cliff hanger, only enough to entice the reader to the next book.
I like the promise of this book.It has so many things that I love in a good read such as shifters, smut, fighters, bikers and hot guys; I only hope the author will answer some of the mysteries in the next book.
I would have buy this book in a bookstore, just by it’s cover which I believe is perfect.
“I won’t let him do anything to us,” I said, lifting Bo Peep to my shoulder. “And I’m not going to end your life because you can’t stand up to him. You are so much stronger than you think you are, Cooper. You’re more than a werewolf. Much more.

Review: Against The Cage

Against the Cage (Worth the Fight, #1)Against the Cage by Sidney Halston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars
erotic romance
Arc provided by NetGalley in exchange of an honest review

Cover - 5 stars

I would buy this book at a bookstore without even reading the blurb. Yes, that guy is hot and I would know it would be a romantic book with hot alpha.

Characters - 4.5 stars

I loved Jack. He is my favorite kind of hero. He is the bad boy type that melts down for the ONE woman. He was very protective, loyal and hot.
Chrissy had a lot of issues, but I enjoy seeing her working out through her issues. The author has presented some good secondary characters that will be perfect for future books.
I understood the characters and I could relate with them.

plot - 4 stars

it was a fast-paced plot, that was easy to read and kept me guessing along the way. The story was really believable and I've finished the read wanting more.
The author has built a great world in this Florida town, that makes us wanting to visit sometimes.

heat - 4 stars

The chemistry between the characters was unbelievable, and the scenes were very well written. Ms. Halston also has created a variety that was well appreciated. Even though there were no new wow factor, I've enjoyed all the scenes.

freshness 3 stars

The plot is not very original, but is well written enough to have kept me guessing along the read.

Impressions and Opinion

This book is a sweet contemporary romance with just a bit of smut so it doesn't get boring. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoy a fast read with a bit of spice and a lot of laughs.

Review: Shunned no More

Shunned No More (A Lady Forsaken #1)Shunned No More by Christina McKnight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars
historical romance, book one of a series
ARC provided by Bewitching Book Tours in exchange for an honest review

Summary

Lady Viola is filled with guilty and regrets. She runs away and hides from society because she doesn't want to face her actions as an immature teenage girl.
Lord Brock Spencer is filled with anger. He has run away in the past from the foolish life of the court, but now he has came back to fulfill his duties.
Viola must face her past, Brock must face his present. Will there be a future for them?

cover 4 stars

I really like. I would buy this book in a bookstore. I would have understood by looking at it that it was a historical romance. I enjoy the color and the woman's expression.

characters 4 stars

I like Viola, at least the Viola she has become, and I can understand how foolish a seventeen years old can be.
I like Brock and I understood all the emotions he was faced with.
Some great secondary characters such as Ruby and Harold.
Characters were easy to relate, connect and love.

plot 3.5 stars

Ms. McKinight has created a good plot filled with emotions. The characters are faced with consequences of rushed decisions in a fast-paced plot packed with mystery, deceptions, guilty, rage and all sort of feelings.
The book was easy to follow and it kept me guessing until the end. The romance intertwined was breathtaking in it's purity of emotions.
My one complain is that I wanted more of their relationship and less of their history, so I could have seen more of them together.

heat2 stars

The characters have good chemistry but there isn't many scenes of them together as a couple.

freshness 4 stars

I have really enjoy the idea of the lady being in the wrong. Is not often that we read a heroine as being wrong and not being offered excuses for her behavior. The story is one of redemption, but never of taking the blame away from the character. Really well crafted!

Impressions and Opinion

What I really liked the best about this book was it's strong plot and the author being able to perfectly executed her ideas. It was not the conventional historical plot, on which the lord is a rake and the lady is a damsel in distress.
This book is a journey of redemption, of second chances, of making it better, of making it work.
It did really work for me.
I wish the author would have added a few more scenes of the couple together, a little bit more of the romance per se.
I'm looking forward to reading more from the author.

summary

Sophie finds herself in Rocky Mountains, Colorado by the hands of a map, push pins and a blindfold. In memory of a friend Sophie takes a one week trip in the wildness. She prepares herself by reading everything she can find about the place, but ends up unprepared for the reality. Not only she doesn't have the right clothes, but she is also not ready for meeting guide Jonas and his adorable dog.
Will her friend's wish come true and Sophie will find love and adventure?

cover 3 stars

You could guess the mountain setting, you could guess a romance, you could guess the weather, it's a cute cover that portraits well the story.

characters4 stars

I like both characters and I believe the author has given enough information on them for a short-story.

plot3 stars

It's an easy to follow story that grows accordingly in intensity level.
It's not very believable because the couple fall in love in less than a week, but it's a sweet romance.

freshness 2 stars

Yes, I have read before this type of sweet romance, but it's always good to read again.

impressions and opinion

I like the idea of the story and with more book pages I believe the author would have an interesting novel.
She creates a good plot idea within the group of friends that goes on adventures after one friend's wish.

You believe this place is real and you connect with these characters as if they were part of your family.

It's a story you can relate because it's very believable.

This book is for everybody that likes a good hot romance, with a good mystery to solve.

Review: Hopeless

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars
NA, contemporary romance, dark
audible book, speed 1.25

Summary

Sky is a seventeen year old teen a little bit different than most. She was raised without technology and has been homeschooled her entire life. Now at her senior year, she has decided to attend a normal school thinking about college applications.
After her first day of school she meets the first boy that has ever made her dream, and it seems that he is attracted by her also. As they start knowing each other better, some secrets will be revealed and their lives changed forever.

cover 4 stars

I really like it. I love the girl, not so dreamy with the sky so huge. After you read the book, it fits.

characters 5 stars

Ms. Hoover creates the perfect characters.
Holder is the perfect male. Really he is hot and cold, sweet and tart, perfect!
Sky is such a strong female character, so brave, so so so amazing.
You can connect with them and love them.
Some pretty strong secondary characters as well.

plot 5 stars

The plot created by the author is amazing. Until half of the book, I was thinking it was ok. After that Ms. Hoover threw in a twist and BAM. It explodes! Really this was AWESOME. I wasn't expecting. I could never have guessed any of it. PEFERCT! AMAZING!
The story is not easy to read, it's powerful, it's dark, it's sad and happy, it's good and bad.
This book keeps you guessing until last minute and makes you want more until the end.
So well crafted! Masterpiece!

freshness 5 stars

Ms. Colleen Hoover has presented me with one of the most original plots ever. So unexpected, that couldn't believe for a while what I was reading. Amazing!

audible 4 stars

I have enjoyed the narrator's voice, but she was a bit slow. I had to read this on 1.25, which made it perfect.

Impressions and Opinion

I haven't read anything before from Ms. Hoover and I was shocked. Now I'm adding her to my author's to follow list.

The characters of this book are amazing and the plot is very well conceived. You find to loopholes in it, everything was well explained.

If you enjoy an amazing book with a few tears now and then, you should read this and be AMAZED!

Summary

Singer, songwriter, Lou is afraid to perform and has been managing her brother's band for eight years. She has been living her dreams through the boys and finally believes they will get their big break.
Former rockstar Crash Burns is enchanted by the scottish groupie, until he finds out she is no groupie at all.
In the middle of an imploding band, will they be able to find a new beginning?

cover 4.5 stars

Sexy, powerful, hot! I would buy this in a bookstore, only because of it's cover.

characters 4 stars

I like both characters.
Lou is a very strong woman with dictator's tendencies, but she only boss everybody because they let her.
Zippy/Crash is adorable. lol Really hot, fun and nice!
Characters were easy to understand, connect and like.

plot 4 stars

The story is fast-paced, easy to follow, kept me guessing and wanting more. I've enjoy the humor and the intensity level of the read.
My one problem with it, was that it had to be rushed a bit, and I felt I was missing something at the end. I wish it was a full novel, so I could have learn more and seen their growth.

heat 4 stars

It was hot! It had goods scenes. Great descriptions.

freshness 5 stars

I like the idea and I found it very refreshing the whole concept of the book.

Impressions and Opinion

I really enjoy the world built in this book. I like the idea of this band coming to New York for it's big break and imploding so close to home.
I only wished I could have learn more about the band before coming to New York and also about Crash, before that day.
I needed more book pages to have learn more.

The idea hardened in her mind. A book she'd read years ago had called it a zipless f***- a passionate encounter with no strings attached.

Review: The Collector

The CollectorThe Collector by Nora Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars
romantic mystery

Cover 2 stars

I didn't like it. I can barely see New York. I still would buy this book, because I'm a Nora Roberts fan, and I buy her books without reading the blurbs. I guess that's why her name takes up so much at the cover.

characters 5 stars

Nora Roberts is a master at creating characters.
Both Lila and Ash are strong and adorable. They were easy to connect, relate and love.
Her secondary characters are also great.

plot 4 stars

It's not original, but it's so well written that it doesn't change the effect for me.
This was a fast-paced read. It was easy to follow and it kept me guessing until the end.
It has the perfect level of intensity and humor and her characters are so real, that is a really believable book.

heat 2 stars

It's romantic. You can feel the love, you can feel the chemistry, but there is not much heat.

freshness 3 stars

Nothing new, I have seen before and I have read before, but it's so well crafted that I don't mind reading it again.

editing 5 stars

Two typo mistakes, no major problems.

Impressions and Opinion

What I loved about this story is how much I wanted to be friends with them. I totally connected with Lila and Ash and I felt for them and with them all book along.
Superb characters with a strong plot, a book that I couldn't let go until the end.

Review: Penelope's Ghost

Penelope's Ghost by Goldie Alexander
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars
contemporary romance with paranormal elements, romantic mystery
Copy provided by the Bewitching Book Tours in exchange of an honest review

Summary

Lisa is coming out of a marriage in which she felt stupid and hurt. She decided to go away for a while so she could finds out what she wants for her life. She takes on a summer job as a nanny and ended up finding a lot more. In a place full of ghosts, secrets and children's tantrum, Lisa gets more than she bargains for.

characters 4 stars

I really liked Lisa a lot, until she decided to become TSTL. I don't agree with her decision almost to the end of the book at all. It didn't even fit her personality. Lisa was smart, nice and had a really good head at her shoulders.
Richard was a mistery. He was a good son, a good uncle and a good ex-husband, but we don't get to really meet Richard the man. The book was about Lisa' story really.
I liked several secondary characters.

plot 3 stars

It was a solid read. I read the entire book in one sitting. It was an easy to follow story that kept me guessing along the way. I did felt a bit rushed at some points, and I've wanted more depth into the characters personality so I could connect more with them.
I found some parts unbelievable. The romance was sweet and it had a "sense" of a historical romance.

heat 2 stars

There were some scenes, but they were mostly mentioned and not really descriptive. Sort of in-between of YA and NA. We got the romantic vibe and it's sweet at times.

freshness 4 stars

I like the author's creativity, and I found a lot of originality in her work.

Impressions and Opinion

The overall concept of the book was really good. The idea was solid and I have enjoyed the read.
My one problem with it was that the male character wasn't well explored which left me feeling that some parts of the story were rushed and other parts were missing.

I like the author's work and I'm looking forward to read more from her.

review: The Bride

The Bride (The Boss, #3)The Bride by Abigail Barnette
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This review is a work-in-progress right now.

Copy given by the author for an honest review
BDSM, erotic romance, book 2 of a series

WARNING: Don't read this book as a stand alone! You need book 1 and 2 to understand the plot.

Opinion

I'm still on the fence with this book, I'm not sure yet how to rate it. I'm going to give a few days, digest a little more and than come back to review it.

I still don't like Sophie, and that is a problem I guess.
I felt Neil is this big alpha in the bedroom and this big pus** outside.
I didn't like how suddenly Neil's bisexuality played within the relationship, and they have played the monogamous card before, so him meeting a guy without her, this feels like cheating for me.

This book was really really hot. The scenes were better here, really great description and tone.

I know book 4 is only coming next year, and I'm looking forward to reading it. I need a closure, for this journey, I still think the author has room to explore.

I want to see their marriage, because everyone got married, but them on this book.

Review: The Girlfriend

The Girlfriend (The Boss, #2)The Girlfriend by Abigail Barnette

3 stars
Copy given by the author for an honest review
BDSM, erotic romance, book 2 of a series

WARNING: Don't read this book as a stand alone! You need book 1 to understand the plot.

Summary

After the huge cliffhanger on book 1, this book starts at the point ended previous book. Sophie had just decided to have an abortion and finds out Neil has cancer.
This book will be a journey between BDSM and cancer.

Cover 3 stars

I like the cover. I like the play with black and white, and reading the book I understand why that's only the woman on the cover.

Likes

I like Neil, and I like his daughter. I understand and connect with him. He is a very deep character, and the way he decides to face life is very courageous.
I'm a detail person, and I love to know my characters well, to feel their emotions, Ms.Barnette does this perfectly.
I like the world Ms. Barnette created and I like the intensity progression of the story.
The heat was really good, and the scenes were well descripted.
There is a big feel of originality to this series, that talks about BDSM ,but is not the main focus; the couple's journey is the main focus of this series.

I didn't like so much

I really enjoyed book 1 and I finish reading expecting so many things, I guess I was a bit disappointed on how many of my questions from book one were dealt on this book.
First of all, I didn't love Sophie on book one, this book made me dislike her a bit more.
I understand the need of abortion in several cases, I do not agree with the abortion that happened in this book. A twenty four year old WOMAN that loves to tell play the independence act, was irresponsible and decides "oh, this is an inconvenience, I'm not talking about it, I'm just getting rid of this, but that's ok, you can pay for it"; it doesn't work for me. She was irresponsible and she should take responsibility for her acts.
I also didn't like the whole description of the day, the fact that such an important matter was taken so lightly.
I also have found Sophie immature, shallow and selfish.
The way Sophie is dealing with Neil's money is annoying, and the fact the character keeps pointing out how independent she is, when she is living with her billionaire boyfriend and doesn't want to spend his money is very annoying.

I understand how a lot of couples sees the sharing into a monogamous relationship, but I felt it was tasteless the way they played the cancer and Sophie's mindset with her sexual needs.

Also the way Sophie became an "it-thing" through youtube was not very believable.

Opinion

I am going to read book 3, but I really hope Sophie will grow up until then.

I'm looking forward to see more of good characters such as Emma, Rudy, Holli, and Valerie.

Review: The Boss

The Boss (The Boss, #1)The Boss by Abigail Barnette
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars
Copy given by the author for an honest review
BDSM, erotic romance, series

Summary

Erin is a career woman looking for her big break at the fashion industry. She has been working at a major magazine for the last two years, but she hasn't done much more than buying coffee. Now that magazine has been sold and she has to meet her new boss.
Neil is a middle-aged billionaire working on his new pet project. He doens't instantly recognize a ghost from his past, but it's pretty happy to see her back in his life. Their chemistry is still there, but how to work around work ethics and age difference in the corporate world?
Fate has thrown them together twice, but how many chances does a couple need to know if they should be together or not?

cover 4 stars

I really like the cover. I love the black and white game, it makes it so classy. I like that we cannot see their faces, just a promise of heatness. I can see he is not "average Joe" by wearing a tux.

characters 5 stars

That's why I usually prefer long books, because good authors have the time to build their characters into multi-dimensional people, and I get to meet them and feel their emotions.

I love both characters. I did relate, connect and understand them both. I did not agree with all their choices, but I don't read a book to judge them, but to feel along with them. That I did.

Neil is rich, hot and a man that feels more comfortable within his Dom persona. He wants Erin, even though he is a bit uncomfortable with her age. He deals really well with her being a career woman.
Erin is young, but she know exactly what she wants out of life. She wants Neil, but she wants a career. That simple.

plot 4 stars

Oh my! This didn't start fast, no, it grew slowly into intesity, when I was least expecting the author threw a couple of twists along the way, that had me loosing my breath. Wow! I did not see that coming.
I don't know why, but I had the idea this book would be about exploring BDSM, but no. This book was about a couple and their journey to becoming one. BDSM it's just the cherry on the top of the cake.
Even though was a bit slow at the beginning, the story was easy to follow, it kept me guessing until the end and I want more now! Lucky for me, I have the next book on my kindle, or I would be a bit upset.
Yeah, I took out I whole star for a big cliffhanger, that I didn't know about, at the end.
But the book grab me, and I'm starting book two today.
The story is believable and you can relate to all the characters.
It was not a punch-in-the-gut type of story, but a gradually-built-intensity kind, and at the end I was out of breath trying to understand how I haven't seen all that coming.

heat 4 stars

A few original scenes, and all of them very tastefully crafted. A lot of in-house BDSM, some cool stuff.

fresh 3.5 stars

Yes, another billionaire-employee type of story, but with several twists artfully employed to bring out some new ideas.

Impressions and Opinion

Wow! I really had no idea that I would end this book with an WOW factor. It was a slow read for me at the beginning, and I believed that I knew what was coming. Major mistake!!!
I didn't agree with all the choices made by the characters, but I understood them and I relate to them.
Great writing! It simmered for a while and it only erupted at the end, a really amazing stew! lol

This books is for everybody that enjoys a love journey with some smut within.

WARNING: cliffhanger at the end!

Review: Ivan

Ivan (Her Russian Protector, #1)Ivan by Roxie Rivera
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars
I have just finished my review and GR didn't save it! I'm so mad!!!

cover 5 stars

What it's not to like? I would buy this book, in fact I did buy this book, without even reading the blurb.

characters 4 stars

I really loved Ivan and the ideas of all the Russians already on my mind.
Erin and her friends, I've liked a little less, but I'm usually hot guys team anyways. :) The heroine must be the kick-ass type for me to really love her.
Erin was an ok character, I just wished she wasn't so clueless.

plot 3 stars

It was not believable in real life. This is a novella, so the plot felt rushed, which made the characters fall in love in three seconds and Ivan risk his new-comfortable-conquered-life after a five minute conversation with Erin.
But I knew this was fiction, and if I enjoy the story, I don't care much about that.
The plot was fast-paced and easy to follow, and I finish the book wanting to know more. In fact, I bought book two as soon as I finished this one.

heat 3 stars

A great first scene, and some ok ones after that. I guess I was always expecting the rough part, but that's me. lol
The description of the scenes were good, just not very original.

freshness 3 stars

It's not something I haven't seen before, but it's promising and very enjoyable.

editing 4 stars

A few typo mistakes, but nothing major.

Impressions and Opinion

This is my second review in twenty minutes, because GR didn't save my first one. I guess this one is a little rushed, so I'm sorry.

I've enjoyed the story, most important I'm looking forward to the series, that it felt promising for me.
It was a fast, fun, hot read!

Review: Stately Pleasures

Stately PleasuresStately Pleasures by Lucy Felthouse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars
contemporary romance, erotica, menage M/F/M
copy provided by the author in return of an honest review

Summary

Alice is excited about her dream job, but timing was not in her favor. She ended up being "blackmailed" by her boss into a little trick situation. Will it be so bad to accept the challenge in favor of career advancement?

characters 4 stars

All three major characters are easy to understand, relate and love.
What was missing was a bridge to connect with them. There is not much character development beyond their sexual journey, so I believe there is still room to play with them in a future book.
I could say that Alice got a bit of TSTL moment there as she believed her job situation, but maybe I'm being TSTL because who would have say no to 2 hot guys with kinky minds being single and available? lol

plot 3.5 stars

This is a fast-paced book, very easy to follow that offers readers exactly what it promises: a hot well developed erotic book.
The story plot was very predictable, but the sex scenes were nothing at all.
Each new challenge the characters encountered was different from the other. The book also offered the perfect growth of intensity on the sex scenes. (view spoiler) The sexual discovery journey was very believable, where the real life situation may be a bit unrealistic. :)
I did finish this book feeling like I would love to read another book with them.

heat 5 stars
It was hot hot hot! Yes, cold-shower hot! The scenes were original, the description was amazing, really almost like a DIY kind of thing, which made them even more believable. Panty-wetter hot!

freshness 4 stars
The story build was very predictable, but their sexual stories were not. IMO, this book was all about the sexual journey, so I think I read a lot of original stuff here.

Impressions and opinion

I have a very clear idea for my reads about the difference between erotic romance and erotica.
IMO and for my reviews, I classify erotic romance as a love story with a bit or a lot of smut,in which the building of a relationship is the most important part of the plot, and where HEA is a must.
I view erotica as sexual encounters that may or may not involve love. The emotions of the couple is not the focus of the plot, but the sexual journey of at least one of the characters. It may have HEA, it may have emotions, and it may have love, but it's not a foregone conclusion.

Stately Pleasures it's a well crafted erotica read, that gave a romantic soul like myself a special present, by giving me a good HEA at the end.

I enjoy the fact that even though Alice new sexual awareness was the main focus, I get to see equality in a relationship of three partners.

I would recommend this book to menage readers and to those that love to get a bit of a kinky ride.

Review: All Night Long

All Night Long (Black Halo, #1)All Night Long by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
ARC provide by NetGalley
contemporary, erotic romance, rock star, book 1 of a series

Ash Gore only wanted to forget, tonight was not the time for worries, tomorrow would come soon enough. His emotional battles were pretty well described through out the night, I was able to understand, relate and love Ash. His weakness and his strenght were very well described by the author.

Ginny Walters only wanted to have some fun. She was looking for an "all night long" with a rockstar. She got a lot more than she wished for. Ginny found steamy sex and an emotional ride. She may not have got what she wanted, therefore found what she needed. Ginny was a believable heroine, without TSTL moments and a positive attitude that I could relate.

Ms. Ellis created a hot new rockstar series. She was able to portrait her characters flaws and qualities within a one night frame. It was a fast read that grew accordingly in intensity having it's climax almost at the end. It's a believable rock star world with several hot scenes. The heat was great and the description really well writen.

I have enjoyed the originality of the story built in one night only, with conflict, solution and climax all in the same night. This is the key fact that Ms. Ellis brought to her story, the fast-paced well writen plot, with lots of great sex and characters emotional development.
There is a small cliffhanger at the end introducing the next book, but the book still provides a nice ending to the reader.

All night long is a rock band story with lots of sexy scenes and great emotional development. I read it in one big gulp and enjoy the story a lot. I'm looking forward to read book two in July. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes smut reads with rock stars.
